Still need some info on where we are to meet on the Saturday and if there are plans for somewhere to raft or stay on the Saturday night?

Have we got tentative numbers yet?

Still praying for weather - fingers crossed!

Mike, I'm not organising anything.
I will be going and plan to be on the wharf at the Wangi Workers Club by 5pm ie before dark. In the club at 6 and finished dinner by 7, (asleep by 8). If the club is noisy or not conducive to a chat then we'll probably be out on the wharf.
Bear is going too, even if I have to tow him there, weather permitting of course.
I can't get to the boat in a strong NWer as the boat pitches too much to get on. See the photo on Top hat Facebook site. If that happens I'll drive.
The workers club wharf is open to the NE.
I guess we should have some means of identifying ourselves, a carnation in the lapel perhaps! A flanni short, stubbies and work boots? I think I'd only recognise yourself and the people from the first raft up in Coasters Retreat.
What about carrying a wet weather coat. I'm not going to wear a Top Hat.
Greg.

Hi All,

Sadly, unless the predicted windless conditions improve, Storm Petrel will be not be heading North this weekend. Shame because we were looking forward to it. My crew were however firm in their resolve, 'no wind no go.' They hate motoring!

Hope you have a good night at the Club.

Hey Mark, it's not this weekend, but the following! September 2/3.

I've arranged to take the Friday off, and whilst still tentative to make the trip, I will be making the call on about Wednesday next week.

The only things stopping me are lack of wind, too much wind or no one else turning up. That, and if the VMR Swansea tell me the bar isn't right to cross.

My current plan is to leave at 3am Friday morning, and be at the visitors mooring in the channel at about 1pm all going well.

I will leave Dulcamara at Marks Point on the Sunday and drive home for Fathers Day, then come back in a couple of weeks for the southbound return, with some northerlies hopefully!

Apart from Greg and Bear, who else is planning to be there? Might end up being a cheap shout!

Blue Moon is hoping to be there.

Unfortuneatly though it looks like it will be either the Nth or Sth boats coming with our intended arrival dates on the same day(or close to it).
Blue Moon is hoping to leave before sunrise Thursday morn arrive at the Swansea bar for the Fri morning High Tide, with the option of pulling into Shoal Bay, PS, if needed.

Im really looking forward to seeing how this junk rig performs in the ocean, "on paper" I have the perfect cruising rig, time will tell.

cheers

Hi Guys

Great to see things taking shape ? The only thing stopping me is a strong westerly wind and if my Beintrouble (BMW) isn't working :( it's almost impossible to get off my mooring let alone out of Croudace Bay with the waves that pump in it's not a pretty site . Apart from that we will sail drift or motor  Or my crew will row /tow , paddle Egret II there .

PS Mr Greg will not be going to sleep at 8.00 pm

PPS Diana what about you !

Neat Bear! I'm looking forward to seeing just how late we can keep Mr Greg out of his bunk!

Now we just pray to Poseidon for weather conducive to getting us into the Lake and you out of Croudace Bay!
